Introduction

A stock taking event determines which materials and quantities are actually present. You can count the stock in a single warehouse or include all locations and projects to get an overview of all the material your company owns.

Unfortunately, Stocadro cannot do the counting for you. It does, however, support you while recording the results: every count is immediately available in digital form and can be used directly for stock management. There is no need to transfer and evaluate counting lists manually in Excel afterwards.

The recorded quantities are compared with the stock maintained in Stocadro. When you complete the stock taking event, you apply the count results to stock management.

Types of stock taking

Two approaches are available depending on the scope of the count:

• Full stock taking: Create a stock taking event for all stock-controlled parts at the selected warehouse locations.
• Correction count: Select individual parts to check a specific group or parts with low stock.
